For over five years now I’ve been  member of MyPoints.com and I love it! When you become a member of their site and fill out simple profile, they’ll send you emails (Bonus Mail) daily based on your interests. You earn 5 points every time you click “Get Points” at the bottom of the Bonus Mail. After clicking, a website will pop up for one of their merchants, like Walmart, Avon, Snapfish, Omaha Steaks, Target or many other businesses you already know and some you may not know. Once the site pops up, you can simply close the window if you’re not interested–5 points. You can earn even more points (about 50) by answering surveys that you qualify for. In fact you can earn 10 points for the ones you don’t qualify for. You can even earn points by playing online games. Finally, the fastest way to rack up your points is by shopping online at a MyPoints merchant’s website. Just go to mypoints.com, login and choose a store. My husband I often earn points by shopping at the Apple Store for computer stuff.

Once you have enough points, you can redeem them for gift cards to some of your favorite places, like iTunes, Borders, Pottery Barn, Pizza Hut, Walmart, Target, Panera Bread and Macy’s. There are over 75 merchants to choose from! We like to use our points for restaurants like Maggiano’s Little Italy and Regal Cinema so we can have a free date night. At Christmas time we use our points for gift cards to give to our family, $10 Subway card for my dad, $10 Panera card for my brother, $10 Cold Stone Creamery card, $10 Starbucks card for my father-in-law. It’s a nice addition to a small gift, especially when you have a tight budget. Other times we use our points for Target or Walmart, where we can buy groceries, diapers and clothes.

So if you’re someone who checks email on a daily basis and loves to shop online, you’ve got to try this out. It may take a couple of months for you to reach a significant point total, but it’s so worth it. Go try it for a few months–it’s free!
