I forgot to mention Borders bookstore in my Email Clubs post. I signed up for one of their rewards cards a few years ago. Each week Borders sends me an email with coupons to use “in-store” and online. Whenever I want to buy a book as a gift and I don’t have time to shop for a good deal online, I print out their 30% or 40% off (any one item in store) coupon and grab a great book or movie. I just bring my Borders Rewards card when I make my purchase. If you forget my card, I just tell the cashier my email address.

When you sign up, they’ll give you 20% off your order that day. So make sure to sign up when you need the discount most. Once you spend $150 at Borders they’ll give you $5 in Borders Bucks to spend at their store. I love the feature that allows you to check a particular store’s inventory online. If I want to buy a harder to find book, I can look it up on borders.com and then check to see if my local store has it in stock, so I don’t waste my time searching through all the shelves. If they do have it in stock, I can click “reserve in store” and pick it up at the register to save even more time.

I may just use the 40% off coupon I received today for a Father’s Day gift for my dad or my husband. You may want to use your coupon for a graduation gift or summer reading. Borders has all the books on your child’s summer reading list. Now go sign up and save some money!
